Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of the COMOD mobile application (“COMOD”, “the app”). By creating an account or using the app, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

1. The service

COMOD is a directory that helps you discover places (such as museums, parks, restaurants and other points of interest) and organise the ones you like into personal collections. Place information is provided in part by third parties, including the Google Places API, and may not always be complete or up to date.

2. Your account

You sign in with your phone number and a one-time SMS code. You are responsible for keeping access to your phone and account secure and for the activity that takes place under your account. Provide accurate information and keep it up to date.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the app — including attempting to disrupt or overload the service, bypassing security or rate limits, scraping data at scale, or using the app for any unlawful purpose.

4. Third-party content

Place data, images and related content may originate from third parties and remain subject to their terms. COMOD does not own or endorse that content and is not responsible for its accuracy.

5. No warranty

The app is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that place information is accurate, that the service will be uninterrupted, or that it will be free of errors.

6. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, COMOD is not liable for indirect or consequential damages, or for any loss arising from your reliance on place information or from your use of, or inability to use, the app.

7. Termination

You may stop using the app and delete your account at any time — either from Privacy & data → Delete my account in the app, or on the web at comod-app.com/delete-account. Both permanently erase your data. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms or misuse the service.

8. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the app after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

9. Governing law

These Terms are governed by French law, without prejudice to the mandatory consumer-protection rights you enjoy in your country of residence within the EU.
